Lunch Poems: Michael Chabon

A Pulitzer Prize finalist in 1958 for his novel Warlock,Oakley Hall has lately been penning mysteries featuring real-life writer Ambrose Bierce. Hailed as a venerable sage in the literature of the American West, Hall boasts a retinue of books including MurderCity, ThePleasureGarden, The Downhill Racers, and many more. His famous fans and protégés include Michael Chabon: Both authors will appear in the Morrison Reading Room of UC Berkeley's Doe Library at 5 p.m. on Jan. 24 to launch Story Hour, a new reading series hosted by novelists/professors Melanie Abrams and Vikram Chandra.
