Free food alert! The proprietors of Lucky Three Seven (2868 Fruitvale Ave.), East Oakland’s most happening Filipino takeout spot, have declared today a “non-profit” day. They’ll give out free meals all day long.

Co-owner Jun Anabo initially wouldn’t reveal what the day’s menu will be — it’s “top secret,” he told me. But it looks like free offerings will include lechon sisig, pork adobo, chicken afritada, and, eventually, Filipino spaghetti.
