Lisa D'Amour's Detroit at Aurora Theatre Company!

Fri., June 19 2015
The backyard barbecue just ain’t what it used to be. Barely middle-class Mary and Ben fire up the grill to welcome their free-spirited new neighbors, Sharon and Kenny. But as this foursome bonds over seared steaks, precarious ambitions, and suburban angst, their good-natured connection turns dangerous, threatening to destroy more than just their friendship. A finalist for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize, Detroit is a wickedly funny satire about our surviving in our uncertain economic times and the troubling demise of the so-called “American Dream.”

"Funny as hell." -New York Post
