Rock & Pop

When: Sat., May 4, 9 p.m. 2013

There is a 95 percent chance that Oakland indie pop quintet Legs’ new track “Two Colours” will stay on my playlist until the last of the summer melts away — the jangly riffs, distinctly psychedelic/college rock fuzziness, and Amelia Adams’ heavenly vocals feel custom constructed for a boozy beach bonfire, with everyone mellowing out just as the sun slips below the horizon. Legs’ feel-good debut, Pass The Ringo, may outlast the summer, but its tour in support of the album will not; the band will play the last show of its West Coast record release tour on Saturday, May 4, at The Night Light (311 Broadway, Oakland). Just don’t be surprised when Pass the Ringo’s delicately restrained yet poignant pop gems plant themselves in your brain and resist uprooting. With The Mantles, Disappearing People, and Visions & Tones. 9 p.m., $TBD.
