Laughter-Yoga Workshop

When: Sat., Feb. 2, 2 p.m. 2008

Founded by MadanKataria, a family doctor in Mumbai, the "laughter yoga" movement has the whole world guffawing. It combines regular yoga stretches with clapping and simulated, exaggerated laughter -- and adherents say it opens them up, cheers them up, and calms them down. "Laughter clubs" based on Kataria's model have sprung up in forty countries since he introduced the concept in 1995. Chant "Ho hoho ha haha" in unison with others in a Feb. 2 laughter-yoga workshop at the Crockett Library (991 Loring Ave., Crockett) to find out what's so darned funny. 2 p.m.
