Start off the new decade right with some good gut flora thanks to a kombucha brewing workshop at Bauman College taught by Lila Volkas, a certified nutrition consultant from Berkeley. Kombucha is full of probiotics, which are said to improve digestion, boost your immune system, and keep up energy levels. At this workshop, participants will receive a kombucha starter kit, including a brewing vessel, a SCOBY, starter liquid, cloth cover, and instructions. You’ll learn to make kombucha at home safely from start to finish, and learn about some of the health benefits kombucha has to offer. You’ll also have a chance to taste samples of homemade kombucha and learn to make a vinaigrette salad dressing using kombucha. Grab your tickets on Eventbrite.
