Kaiser On The Ropes?



According this remarkable and alarming story by the Chron's Victoria Colliver, internal records project that the East Bay HMO giant Kaiser Permanente could lose $7 billion dollars over the next two years. The projections are based upon declining Medicare revenue coupled with operating costs that are rising by ten percent a year. The distressing news was exposed when disgruntled Kaiser employee Justen Deal sent financial details in an email to no less than 180,000 of his fellow workers.
