Jukebox Stories: The Case of the Creamy Foam

When: Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Continues through March 22 2008

Playwright Prince Gomolvilas and singer-songwriter Brandon Patton's Jukebox Stories evening of storytelling and music was enough of a hoot in Impact Theatre's last season that they decided to reprise it this evening in a slightly sequelly incarnation: Jukebox Stories: The Case of the Creamy Foam. Although it's being billed as the world premiere of a new permutation, calling it a sequel is a tricky proposition, because the audience gets to choose the playlist each night from the duo's ever-expanding repertoire of humorous songs and true confessions -- whether about death threats from High School Musical fans or about a sister's boob job -- and possibly win valuable prizes along the way. February 15 through March 22 at La Val's Subterranean (1834 Euclid Ave., Berkeley) or 510-464-4468.
