Japanese Tea Ceremony

The Japanese tea ceremony is a centuries-old tradition that engages spirituality, aesthetics, and all the senses at once. At Trax Ceramics Gallery (1812 Fifth St., Berkeley) on Saturday, May 9, Marc Lancet and Masakazu Kusakabe-san conduct the ceremony to celebrate the opening of an exhibition of their pots. Ikebana specialist HediDesuyo demonstrates flower arranging. Reservations required: e-mail 5 p.m.
