Jaboukie Young-White

When: Sat., Aug. 17, 7:30 p.m. 2019

The first-time comedian Jaboukie Young-White appeared on The Daily Show as a correspondent, he was the “Senior Youth Correspondent” helping to illuminate why young people weren’t voting. “Why are we still voting with paper? I don’t even wipe my ass with paper.” At the end he made a case for making voting day a national holiday — but then said young people still wouldn’t vote. “Why would I spend my day off voting?” It’s this kind of flippant attitude and parody of stereotypes that has made him a rising star in comedy. In addition to The Daily Show, he also writes for Netflix comedies Big Mouth and American Vandal. His stand up is stellar, sarcastic, yet personal and perfectly in tuned with meme culture. It’s only a matter of time until he gets his own Netflix stand-up special.
