Documentarian Davis Guggenheim, maker of An Inconvenient Truth, hit upon the happy idea of inviting three rock guitarists from different generations Jack White of the White Stripes and other bands, The Edge of U2, and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin to jam together and reminisce about their romance with the axe. They all get along just fine. Not surprisingly White turns out to be the wild card, a Detroit kid who can rig a slide guitar out of a bottle, a two-by-four, some wire, and a cheap amp. Their unplugged version of the Bands The Weight is worth the price of admission (97 min.).
