Oakland artist Alison Moncrieff's exhibition of paintings and prints "I See You" is a meditation on loss, transformation, and the fluidity of identity. "Empty clothing," says Moncrieff, "can represent what is mourned, what is transmuting, or being born." Inkblot Gallery co-owner Christina Spiegel says, "Alison's paintings are colorful, lilting, and full of charm. But they are also so much more. There is a depth and beauty and an exploration of truth that is revealed in the many layers." Visit during gallery hours or by appointment.
