Elegant cucumber sandwiches.
Every plate featured fresh flowers, taken from the museum grounds or from the volunteers’ own home gardens.
The tea was black (English breakfast). Cream and sugar were, of course, optional.
Homemade cranberry scones, served with fruit preserves and clotted cream.
Bite-size lemon tartlet, garnished with a sprig of mint.

The Pardee Home is located at 672 11th Street, in downtown Oakland.
