Wild-caught salmon, berries, and mint tea are among the diabetes-friendly fare served at a reception marking World Diabetes Day and Native American Heritage Month at the DavidBrowerCenter (2150 Allston Way, Berkeley) on Monday, Nov. 14. Focusing on food strategies that honor culture and heritage while improving Native Americans' health, the event also includes speakers and a film screening.
