On Friday, February 20, Oakland East Bay Symphony will present the World Premiere of "Begejstring" (the Danish word for “Excitement”), a new concerto featuring internationally renowned jazz violinist, composer, former Turtle Island Quartet member and two-time GRAMMY winner Mads Tolling. You’ll also hear Haydn’s Mass in Time of War with Oakland Symphony Chorus and soloists from San Francisco Opera Center’s Adler Fellowship Program, and Samuel Barber’s Symphony No. 1, conducted by Bryan Nies.

Pre-concert talk by John Kendall Bailey and Mads Tolling.
