Green Walking Tour of Berkeley

When: Fri., Aug. 19, 2-5:30 p.m. 2011

If you're still somewhat green when it comes to Berkeley's green scene, Bay Area Green Tours should bring you up to speed. The organization hosts its first public walking tour of the East Bay's Green Corridor on Friday, Aug. 19. Get an inside look at sustainable Berkeley businesses and LEED-certified buildings, and meet some of the people leading these environmental endeavors. A partnership with the Berkeley Startup Cluster, the tour begins at the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse (2020 Addison St., Berkeley) and makes stops at the East Bay Bicycle Coalition, OxfordRooftopCommunityGarden, The David Brower Center, and other destinations. 2 p.m.-5:30 p.m., $15.
