Got kids in an Oakland public school? Keeping them home today on strike day? Time on your hands? Then why not treat the whole family to a matinee double-feature at Oakland's Grand Lake Theater? The theater is normally not open this early, but owner Allan Michaan made an exception: "We are happy to support Oakland's teachers in their efforts to improve our schools," he wrote in a press release. For $5, catch How to Train Your Dragon in 3D and Oceans, an animated Disney short, at noon or 2:15. Popcorn and 3D glasses included. Full release after the jump.
