The coordinator of the long-running and critically lauded Lunch Poems series, giovanni singleton (lowercase hers), commemorates her first poetry collection, ascension -- inspired in part by Alice Coltrane -- with a reading at, you guessed it, Lunch Poems on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Morrison Library in Doe Library, UC Berkeley. singleton is a poet, teacher, and founding editor of nocturnes (re)view of the literary arts. 12:10-12:50 p.m., free.
