No question about it, the Wu Tang Clan was one of the best — maybe the best — hip-hop crew from the ’90s. But a subject of much more heated debate is who among the clan has made the best solo record. Let me nominate two albums: Ghostface Killah’s Supreme Clientele and Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…. Both of these records are on par with some of the best work that the crew did as the Wu Tang Clan. Not surprisingly, Ghostface and Raekwon feature each other a lot on their records. They both have a phenomenal sense of rhymes and are excellent lyricists. Just listen to their back and forth on Ghostface’s “Apollo Kids” and Raekwon’s “Verbal Intercourse.” At this show, the two will have a lot of material to draw from as they both have excellent long-standing solo careers.
