It's exactly the right time of year for a workshop on cultivating, cooking, and eating co-hosted by Berkeley's Kitchen and the Friends of Kenney Cottage Garden (1631 Fifth St., Berkeley). Held at the garden on Saturday, Aug. 28, the class follows urban-gardening basics with hands-on lessons for making gazpacho, pesto dip, and other treats from freshly picked, hyper-local, seasonal produce.
