So do people really exploit poverty in order to corner the market on water in countries where free water is polluted, then sell clean water back to the poor? People do. Irena Salina’s frightening documentary is madder than a wet hen about the World Bank, Bechtel, Suez, Vivendi, Thames Water, and our old pals Coca-Cola and Pepsi, and also about such outrages as rocket fuel and Atrazine (a pesticide) in American water supplies, Texas fish full of Prozac, etc. But there is hope (93 min.).
