The Washington Liquor Control Board issued two licenses March 5 to Spokane’s Sean Green, who will operate his business under the trade name Kouchlock Productions.

“This is a historic day,” stated Board Chair Sharon Foster. “The hard work and preparation this agency has done has laid the foundation to make this pioneering endeavor a success.”

Kouchlock Productions — which is named for the effect that sedative weed can have on people, i.e. “couch lock” — is licensed to produce and process recreational marijuana.

Green holds a “tier-three” license to produce marijuana initially up to a maximum growing area of 21,000 square feet. Kouchlock Productions is one of over 2,800 producer license applications that the WSLCB is currently processing. Licenses will be continuously issued as they are ready.

Other potential licensee names (as excel spreadsheet download): 420 Farms, Bearded Bro’s Buds, Goat Girl Cannabis, Grass for You, H&R Pot, Herban Myth, Lazy Acres, Mara Hoochies, Monkey Junk, NW Mota, Phunny Pharm, and Wicked Hillbilly.

At least they’re not Pfizer and R.J. Reynolds. ….
