Fantastic Negrito at The UC Theatre

Sat., Oct. 14 2017
Fantastic Negrito is a man’s truth told through black roots music for everyone, blues with a punk attitude from Oakland, California. Each song is a real story about a musician who experienced the highs of a million dollar record deal, the lows of a near fatal car accident leaving him in a coma, and is now in the phase of rebirth despite his playing hand being mangled. After a long break, Fantastic Negrito won NPR's Tiny Desk Contest in 2015. His first full-length album The Last Days of Oakland won the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. He will be joined by MAD NOISE and The Jamming Nachos—don’t miss this all-Oakland lineup!
