Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood

When: Mon., June 29, 8 p.m. 2009

Now that the inevitable Cream reunion has come and gone, is it really surprising that Eric Clapton would go back down memory lane and tour with his former Blind Faithbandmate? The duo has already taken this pseudo reunion on the road, (the decision by band drummer Ginger Baker to bow out precluded Clapton and Steve Winwood from calling it a full-blown Blind Faith tour), with positive responses being the general consensus. So much so that last month found the classic rock vets releasing the CD/DVD set, Live from Madison Square Garden, which not only finds them revisiting Blind Faith standards "Presence of the Lord" and "Can't Find My Way Home," but tossing in nuggets from the Traffic and Cream canons as well. This hoary trip down memory lane that'll include those musical warhorses and more will be taking place at the ORACLE Arena (7000 Coliseum Way, Oakland) on Monday, June 29. 8 p.m., $65.50-$149.50.
