End of Summer Reading Celebration

Summer's almost over already, but make the best of the rest at the Oakland Museum of California (1000 Oak St., Oakland), where the museum and the Oakland Library cohost the free End of Summer Reading Celebration on August 10. Highlights include the Insect Discovery Lab, face-painting by Buki the Clown, brain experiments with folks from UC Berkeley's Sylvia Bunge Lab, storytelling, free Dreyer's treats, and more. 12:30 p.m. OaklandLibrary.org
