Rated R 115 minutes 2013

The actors kick out the jams but they’re stuck in another dopey “interlink” movie, the kind in which stressed-out, mixed-up people are bound together by “hidden” connections they could never spot, but which bore us to tears, cf. Crash, Traffic, Babel, 21 Grams, etc. Today’s topic: the Internet and how it separates us. Alexander Skarsgård, Paula Patton, Frank Grillo, Nina Riseborough, Max Thieriot, Jason Bateman, and Jonah Bobo should have been left alone without a screenplay – they could surely improvise a better movie than writer Andrew Stern and director Henry Alex Rubin cooked up. But if we focus on the actors alone, it’s salvageable. And yes, that’s Swedish actor Michael Nyqvist, from the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, nearly unrecognizable as a sinister identity thief. Worth a “Like,” barely. (115 min.)
