Dinner and Bikes

When: Wed., March 28, 7:30-9 p.m. 2012

Flowers are blooming and the hills are greening; it's time to get outside and enjoy two of the reasons we live in the East Bay: food and bikes. The East Bay Bicycle Coalition's Dinner and Bikes event, a "traveling road show of vegan food and bicycle inspiration," features a buffet by chef Joshua Ploeg, plus videos and a slideshow on bicycle culture, activism, and economy by Elly Blue, author of Taking the Lane, and Joe Biel, founder of Microcosm Publishing. The East Bay, so says the Coalition, is "filled with people biking and walking on vibrant streets." Be a part of it at the bicycle-friendly Arbor Cafe (4210 Telegraph Ave., Oakland) on Wednesday, Mar. 28. 7:30 p.m., $10 (includes dinner).
