Deconstruction is an art show inspired by one woman's 25 year journey with breast cancer. Joyce Mallonee and her son, Alex, have collaborated with seven artists across disciplines to create eight pieces of work that each tell a part of Joyce’s story and explores themes of denial, vanity, humor, and creativity as essential mechanisms for coping with cancer. The exhibition will on display at the Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery from 1/20-1/24. The gallery is open by appointment only. A virtual version of the exhibition will be created at the same time to premiere later in 2021.
