Day Without A Gay

Wed., Dec. 10 2008

Wednesday, Dec. 10

The San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration Committee is calling for all its community members and allies to join in the National Day Without Gay, a nation-wide protest in support of human rights and full equality for LGBT people.

San Francisco Pride is suggesting several ways to participate, including:

  • Talking about civil rights with co-workers, neighbors, family, and strangers
  • Volunteering for a worthy LGBT cause in your community
  • Not shopping (except at LGBT-friendly businesses)
  • Not going to work (If you need to work, please wear an emblem in support of the day, e.g., a white ribbon with a knot reflecting the knot of marriage)
