Crafting @ the Library: Ojos de Dios

When: Sat., Jan. 21, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 2017

The Ojo de Dios or God’s Eye is a ritual tool, magical object, and cultural symbol evoking the weaving motif and its spiritual associations for the Huichol and Tepehuan Indians of western Mexico. The process of making them is a meditative one, evocative of walking a sacred labyrinth or creating a mandala. Learn to create your own Ojo de Dios fiber sculpture using dowels or twigs and yarn, cord, and other fibers.
