Costello Sings Lowe /Nick Sings Elvis

When: Fri., Oct. 1, 8 & 11 p.m. 2010

In the late '70s, Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe proved that rock music can be art with a series of groundbreaking albums, including Lowe's Jesus of Cool and Costello's This Year's Model. Lowe produced Costello's first five albums and wrote "What's So Funny 'Bout Peace, Love and Understanding," one of Costello's most heartfelt tunes. The duo hasn't played together in a venue this small in decades, and they'll be singing each other's songs to boot. The evening is pricey, but it's a benefit for the Richard de Lone Special Housing Project, an agency serving children and adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe play Friday October 1st at The Great American Music Hall (859 O'Farrell St., San Francisco) 8 & 11 pm $125.00, $200.00
