UC Berkeley student DJs spin new soundtracks to silent films during Cine/Spin at the Pacific Film Archive (2575 Bancroft Way, Berkeley). Legendary silent-film comedian Buster Keaton plays a day-dreaming movie projectionist studying to become a detective in Sherlock Jr. Things get complicated when his girlfriend's father accuses Keaton's character of stealing his expensive watch; he sets out to find the real culprit, and shenanigans ensue. In addition to Sherlock Jr. (selected as one of the 100 best films of all time by Time magazine), this edition of Cine/Spin features selected shorts from the PFA archive.
