Chron Slams Gamblers for Loni Hancock Flier

Editor John Diaz over at the Chron has some choice words for the California Tribal Business Alliance, the group of Indian casino owners who set up a phony education group and mailed out fliers attacking state Senatorial candidate Loni Hancock. Noting that Hancock drew the wrath of Indian gambling interests by opposing the San Pablo casino, Diaz called the group "a sham" and decared that its campaign against Hancock "was all about retribution and intimidation." Although gambling interests have never been known to be subtle, it really does behoove them to hide their dirty tricks a little more cleverly than this. Otherwise you get editorials like this.
