Chevron Flees Europe, Cafe Dwellers Too Consumed with Ennui to Notice



Apparently, the San Ramon oil giant Chevron's got a big beef with the Dutch. According to the East Bay Business Times, BP (aka British Petroleum, those wacky UC Berkeley biofuel investors) will buy out Chevron's stake in the Netherlands Refining Company, as well as a couple of wind farms, for $900 million. In addition, Chevron has been floating the idea of divesting its holdings in Belgium and Luxembourg. As Mark Albert says: Is it the wooden shoes?
