Center for Research on Social Medicine presents: Fighting for Health Equity in 2017 and Beyond

When: Mon., March 13, 4-5 p.m. 2017

Congresswoman Barbara Lee comes to talk in UC Berkeley about health care, with welcoming remarks by Chancellor Nicholas B. Dirks. Affordable, accessible, high-quality healthcare is a fundamental human right. Congresswoman Lee served as chair of the Congressional Black Caucus during the drafting of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and worked to ensure strong provisions that expand health care access, address health disparities and create incentives for people to live healthy lives. Congresswoman Barbara Lee’s main healthcare focus is always on health disparities and health equity, especially for racial and ethnic minorities. Congresswoman Lee is strongly opposed to any efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, and will continue to fight to ensure that we all have access to affordable, quality healthcare. Free and open to the public. Please register in advance. It's held Chan Sun Auditorium, 2050 Valley Life Sciences Building.
