Cantonese Opera Class Enrollment Opens for Youth and Adults 2012-2013 Season

Northern California's Red Bean Cantonese Opera House, a performing arts academy headquartered in downtown Oakland dedicated to educating and inspiring a new generation of performers in regional Cantonese Opera, is pleased to announce the opening of enrollment for its introductory and advanced Youth Troupe and Youth Dance Troupe programs.

Classes are presently scheduled for Sunday afternoons and provide instruction and training in acting, singing, martial arts, dance, costuming and cosmetics for the operatic stage. Students from ages 9 through 20 are invited to participate in these classes, which are anticipated to run from between 18 to 25 weeks. No familiarity with Cantonese language is needed.

Red Bean Opera additionally offers operatic performance classes for adults.
