Buddhist New Year's Eve

When: Fri., Dec. 31, 9 p.m. 2010

For Buddhists around the world, the New Year is a time of solemn reflection and quiet celebration, a time for pondering past errors and resolving to change for the better. At the Berkeley Buddhist Priory (1358 Marin Ave., Albany) on Friday, Dec. 31, a New Year's Serene Reflection (Soto Zen) Meditation Vigil is followed by a New Year's Ceremony and - as midnight nears - a festive tea. 9 p.m., free.
