Boxer Clings to Lead Over Campbell in Right-Leaning Poll

Barbara Boxer is hanging on to a small lead over GOP frontrunner Tom Campbell in a new poll from Rasmussen, which is typically regarded as a conservative-leaning poll. Boxer leads Campbell 43 to 41 percent — the same margin that Rasmussen had last month. However, even though the Rasmussen Poll is generally considered right-leaning, it appears to be slightly more favorable to Boxer than other recent polls.

Both the Field Poll and a survey from Public Policy Institute of California had Campbell leading 44 to 43 percent. However, the moderate Campbell must still get past rivals Carly Fiorina and Chuck DeVore in the June Republican primary.
