Book Discussion Group

When: Sun., Dec. 30, 3 p.m. 2007

A spoof on American evangelical Christianity, Robert Heinlein's 1984 novel Job: A Comedy of Justice features a Christian activist, Alec, who falls for a Norse pagan cruise-ship hostess. The pair endure a series of acts of god(s) and, knowing that the End of Days is fast approaching, Alec searches for a way to save both the world and his beloved unbeliever. Chew the fat about shipwrecks, earthquakes, heaven, and hell with the Concord Library's (2900 Salvio St., Concord) book discussion group at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30.
