Blue Bear Live IV

When: Thu., March 26, 8 p.m. 2009

Strong and steady is the best way to describe the approach Los Lobos has taken toward crafting a critically respected legacy that's also garnered a throng of devoted fans dating back to the band's early-'70s origins. Having wrapped up its latest major label commitment, Los Lobos is bringing its fusion of Latin folkloric music and Americana-influenced rock to town as the band will undoubtedly be showcasing fare from its as-yet untitled forthcoming twelfth studio album. Making this particular show all the more special is that all ticket  proceeds and silent auction sales will go to benefit the Blue Bear School of Music, which provides community music outreach programs for underserved Bay Area youth. Get your charity on at Bimbo's 365 Club (1025 Columbus Ave., San Francisco) on Thursday, Mar. 26. 8 p.m., $75-$150.
