Starts out as a documentary family profile of filmmaker Chris Bell and his two brothers, all of whom used steroids to emulate muscle-bound childhood idols like Hulk Hogan, and lived to regret it. But then, three quarters into it, the discussion shifts from big-name athlete enhancers (Barry Bonds et al.) to Americas dueling cults - cheaters vs. moralizers - and the notion that winning is everything, one of our national curses. Helping Bell shape his investigation are a pair of producers from Michael Moores docs Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11, so we know where this is going. But that doesnt mean it isnt true. Thought-provoking and entertaining (105 min.).
