A popular hangout spot for Ethiopian and Eritrean men, this quirky cafe, where garlicky pesto pizza and East African breakfast specialties vie for menu space, is always lively (bordering on rambunctious), and, day or night, there's always a soccer game on. But walk in, say, on a random Tuesday afternoon, when an especially important Barca match is on the tube, and you'll swear you've just stepped into the grandstand of Camp Nou itself. There's hooting and hollering and much wild applause, and if you have even a passing interest in The Beautiful Game, it's hard not to get caught up in the excitement. It helps, too, that the beer is cold and plentiful, the pizza's great, and the kitcha (spicy dough balls) and the Eritrean-style scrambled eggs are simply divine.
