Best High-Tech Doggie Care: It's like being there with your furry one

Doggy Lama Pet Care

Elmo loves to be wet and dirty. Hey! Get your mind out of the gutter — this photo caption describes a deliriously happy dog, not a reference to your favorite Sesame Street character run amok. Because when it comes to dog walking, Doggy Lama Pet Care's Molly Kenefick is a step, a click, and one whopping Verizon bill ahead of the competition. Armed with a camera-equipped Treo with Internet capability and unlimited storage, Kenefick snaps dozens of photos during her hour-plus off-leash jaunts with her canine clientele. Then she uploads the pics to her incredibly organized Flickr site, where owners stuck at work can see in near-real time what their pups are up to. She'll send them directly to clients' phones, too. "She's a great walker in general," one enthuses. "Getting the photos is a very nice bonus. When you're in the midst of meetings and all sort of craziness, it's nice to see that your dog is off on the beach, running around and having fun." Trail and beach hikes run $25; board for a day or night costs $40, photos included.
