Best Cafe Experience That Isn't at a Cafe

Flowerland

Coffee isn't just for cafes and restaurants anymore. The Heath Ceramics showroom in San Francisco serves Blue Bottle. Monkey Forest Road, a home furnishings shop, serves Verve. But the nursery Flowerland may be the best example of this new trend. A quaint Airstream trailer run on-site by the owners of Berkeley cafe Local 123 serves Four Barrel Coffee. You can sip your espresso while looking at Flowerland's extensive collection of succulents and flowers. Or you can park yourself at one of the small tables situated among the blanket flowers and citrus trees and read, write, or talk. The mini cafe turns the nursery into more than just a place to buy plants; it's more like a lovely park.
