Rated R 105 minutes 2011

A tip for budding filmmakers: If you want your dumb-guy movie to be funny, it helps to have the characters believe they’re actually smart, instead of them trying to outdo each other in stupid no-win situations. (Unless you’re trying to top the Jackass movies.) Evan Glodell seems less ambitious than that. He appears to take his cretinous characters Woodrow (played by himself) and Aiden (Tyler Dawson) seriously as they guzzle beer and play dangerous games with machines. Halfway through it occurs to us that writer-director Glodell is riffing on Charles Bukowski. Or perhaps Doris Wishman. Or Antonin Artaud or Daffy Duck. Who cares? (105 min.)
