When: Sat., Feb. 16, 5 & 7 p.m. 2008
High school basketball season wraps up this weekend for most EastBay teams, with both the Bay Shore Athletic League and the Alameda Contra Costa Athletic Leagues heading into the playoffs. Berkeley High has the highest riding team in both boys and girls division hoops. And, as if to prove that not all the prep talent in B-town resides on the big campus downtown, St. Mary's College Prep has their boys running off a perfect record, while their girls take a second-seed into the post-season. On Saturday, Feb. 16, the BSAL champion will be crowned at Albany High School (603 Key Route Blvd., Albany). The two top girls' teams will tip off at 5 p.m. and the boys best at 7 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Winner goes on to the North Coast Championship and the chance to play in March.
