This Thursday, Italian restaurant Donato & Co. is kicking off a new series of wine dinners meant to highlight wines virtually unknown to American audiences. This first dinner in the series highlights Azienda Agricola Musso, a family-run winery in the Barbaresco area of Piemonte. The winery was founded in 1929 and has weathered the Great Depression and World War II. This tasting will be guided by winemaker Emanuele Musso and will focus on Nebbiolo wines. Donato’s executive chef Gianluca Guglielmi, who has worked at a number of Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy, will be creating a special menu meant to complement the wines. Reservations may be made via phone at 510-838-1131; just ask for the Barbaresco Wine Dinner.
