Daulet Bey, the mother of Your Black Muslim Bakery CEO Yusuf Bey IV, says in court papers that the $2.28 million in property the bakery gave her for free before it filed for bankruptcy rightfully belongs to her, according to today’s Oakland Tribune. Bey IV is in custody for kidnap and torture, and some believe he was the mastermind of the assassination of Oakland Post editor Chauncey Bailey. Daulet Bey is being sued by the bakery’s bankruptcy trustee who alleges that the bakery, under her son’s command, fraudulently transferred the property to her to shield it from creditors.
