Debut author Samuel Ferrer will speak about the sources of inspiration behind his debut novel, THE LAST GODS OF INDOCHINE, which made Ferrer the only non-Asian ever longlisted for Asia's most prestigious literary award, The Man Asian Literary Prize, and that has been designated an Editor's Choice by both the Historical Novels Society and Book Browse. Ferrer is a graduate of Yale and U.S.C. and is a professional musician now living in Hong Kong. He wrote this novel in the bars of Bangkok and Saigon, the cafes of Laos, the mountains of Sapa, and on location throughout Cambodia.
