Oakland A's owner Lew Wolff has rejected the city of Oakland's latest attempt to keep the team from leaving. The city, led by Mayor Ron Dellums, had sent a letter to Major League Baseball and planned to form a task to find a way to keep the team in Oakland -- now that its plans for a Fremont ballpark are dead. But in a statement, Wolff said that ship has past. Money quote: "We have fully exhausted our time and resources over the years with the City of Oakland, dating back to previous A's ownership . We have no interest in covering old ground again, as we need to move forward in finding a future home for our team."
